Just stop being such a soft skin and take it like a man. I also think that it is important to show the ranks of players post match, right now you would have to ask everyone their rank. I’m hoping that there will be a comp overhaul soon with some things such as: a leaderboard, exclusive cosmetics, and seasons to incentivize more players to play comp.
I can tell you that even as a Diamond 1 I’ve matched with players who have just started and clearly have no idea how to play Comp. I have 1300 hours in INS2 and play Sandstorm at a competitive level so I placed in at high plat (lost one of the placements) and was at Diamond 1 within a few matches after that, so I honestly have no clue at what level the players in the lower ranks play at. You also have to take into account that you aren’t necessarily matching against players of the same rank due to the low player pool (it searches for closely ranked players first but then expands as it takes longer), so this can really skew your MMR. I’m not exactly sure how ranking works, but I assume it’s based on an MMR system that only takes into account whether you win or lose, not your individual performance. The player pool isn’t large enough to really tell what the skill level of each rank is.
holy ♥♥♥♥ no need to rant you couldve just typed this, Well I dont know as there is not rating for people who play 8 hrs there is only a rating in general and in that rating you are pretty much in the middle, which makes you mediocre. The latest Tweets from Insurgency (InsurgencyGame).
Someone has just showed you ALL of the ranks and you ask if silver 2 is ok for someone has played 8 hrs ? Well I dont know as there is not rating for people who play 8 hrs there is only a rating in general and in that rating you are pretty much in the middle, which makes you mediocre. Lets just assume the ranking system works.dont you think your question is a little " stupid " ? Logic ? Now we lose a lot and I am something in gold 3 ish. When I received my first rank I was #1 in every match and won every match and still put in to Bronze. This is a fun and challenging mode that is absolutely worth giving a shot.Originally posted by SomeDude:would you consider silver 2 being an ok rank for a person who has played 8 hours?Ĭompetitive ranks do not mean ♥♥♥♥♥ and I have no idea how they are rated. However, in Survival mode, if you don't stick together your team will quickly crumble and you'll lose. While it's obvious that working together is a core component of Insurgency: Sandstorm's intense gameplay, in most modes players can go off on their own and fare relatively well. It requires a lot of teamwork and planning to ensure that no one gets left behind or killed unexpectedly. Survival is a brutal game mode that is challenging for even the most veteran of players. However, ammunition is in short supply, so you'll have to capture various scattered points across the map in order to replenish your supplies. You'll start with nothing but a pistol and must kill the enemy in order to steal their weapons. The player and their team are dropped into one of Insurgency: Sandstorm's many vast maps and is tasked with surviving against an onslaught of enemy AI. Survival is another of Insurgency: Sandstorm's many cooperative modes and is by far the best mode in the game. Without proper teamwork and coordination, you'll almost certainly falter. Working together with your teammates and ensuring you have each other's backs covered is key to your survival. Hiding out in corners won't save you if you're prepared for what's about to come around that corner. Insurgency: Sandstorm's quick time-to-kill also means that defending a point can be extremely difficult. Attempting to keep your positions safe from the incoming enemy team all while pushing forward and breaking through their defenses is incredibly difficult. While Push has an attacking team and a defending team, Frontline has two attacking teams who must also simultaneously attempt to defend their own objectives. However, where Frontline differs and therefore exceeds is by having both teams attempt to complete this objective.
Not unlike Push, Frontline has the player progress through a series of objectives with their team trying to take each one before destroying the final weapon cache.
